When we are emotionally stressed, the most simple and affordable way to relax is to begin breathing correctly. The fact is that in a stressful situation the brain requires more oxygen, breaths become long and short. By changing the nature of breathing, we thereby change its state. This exercise can be performed in any pose convenient for you, even standing. Inhale deeply and slowly. Inhalation begins with the abdomen, then goes up the diaphragm followed by the chest. Mentally and calmly count to 3 and then exhale slowly in reverse order – the chest, diaphragm, and abdomen. Repeat this for a few times. You can also breathe by sitting in front of the candle, concentrate on exhaling.
Our Wrists
We all probably noticed that in stressful situations, our hands are one of the first to react – they are tensed or compressed in fists. In such cases, massaging hands, rubbing and kneading each finger separately helps relieve stress. You can start with either hand. For example, start rubbing with the thumb of the left hand, with the “base” (cushions on the palm) and to the tip. The next finger (index) move in the direction from the tip to the “base”, each time going through the entire palm. Middle finger in the direction from the bottom up, and so forth. Massage the right hand, respectively, will begin with the little finger down. Doing this massage can be every day – it is very useful. In carrying out this massage, you will not only reset the emotional stress, but also helps to restore your body as a whole.
Water
Water is a powerful healing tools. Water treatments help strengthen the body and reduce the emotional stress. Take a shower, the water should be warm and comfortable for your body. Stand under the head shower, let the water run over you from the very top and to the ankle. Wait quietly, relax. A few minutes later, imagine how a jet of water passes through your body, from the top to the toe, washing the whole “mental” rubbish off, all that you have accumulated in the hard and unpleasant situation, everything that oppresses you. After taking a shower, make yourself a hot herbal tea. For better effect add bath foam and sea salt.
