Nail art – science and art of decoration of 20 small particles of the human body. The nails are just an upper layer of the skin- the epidermis. Their structure is determined by heredity, but can be changed under the influence of numerous external factors: nutrition, hand care, the work performed, etc.

Nails never break for no reason. This is a sign of a serious health problems and the glaring gaps in human nutrition. Healthy nails (no matter how long they are) must be strong and resilient. It is effected by a lot of factors. Among them there are some basic reasons why we can’t grow long and strong nails.

First of all, do you get enough protein? You can find protein in red meat, chicken, turkey, eggs, but the best source of protein is fish. Oily fish live in the cold seas: salmon, mackerel and others.

Other gross nutritional deficiencies, that are especially serious consequences for the health of nails, include the lack of magnesium and calcium in nutrition.

Magnesium deficiency is noted in approximately 80% of the population – and yet it is important for the production of energy cells. Not enough magnesium leads the processes of cell growth to suffer, and hence we have bad nails. The necessary daily requirement of magnesium is about 300-400 mg. But it has to be necessarily accompanied by calcium. These two elements have a synergistic action. A lot of people know the relationship between calcium and health of the nails but unfortunately, not aware of the role of magnesium. For the assimilation of calcium and magnesium the presence of vitamin D is also very important. Zinc, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and several other minerals and vitamins, are also useful for the health of nails.

Taking dietary supplements with similar composition should be at least for 4 weeks, and ideally – 5-6 months. As the nails grow at a rate not exceeding 1 mm per week, it takes about six months for a full “upgrade”. The results will start to show up within a few weeks.
