Diet for Each Blood Type: 4 Types of Diet for 4 Blood Types

diet-for-each-blood-typeDr. Peter D’Adamo, who believes that human blood types are the determining factors in choosing food, came up with the diet that complement each blood type.

Based on his studies each blood type is unique and responds differently to certain products, which could then cause health problems. Your blood type diet can improve digestion and lead to significant weight loss. D `Adamo also believes that we must use the same products that are used by our ancestors with the same blood group in a particular historical juncture.

Type A

This is the oldest blood type, it was discovered in about 50 000 BC. During this time, people ate more raw meat and less cereals, wheat and dairy products. People with this blood type should include protein and low-carbon food in their diet. Fish is the best source of protein. People with this blood type can have problems with digestion and can be overweight if they consume too many carbohydrates. Their bodies are experiencing difficulties with the processing of starches.

Recommended products
– meat, butter and fish.

Products to avoid
– eggs, fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

People with the Type A Blood type shuld engage in cardio – vascular exercises in order to compensate for the high consumption of meat.

Type B

This blood type was discovered in about 25,000-15,000 BC. During this time, people led an agricultural way of life, so D’Adamo believes that people with this blood type are more suitable for having a vegetarian diet, as their body “doesn’t like” meat and milk products.

Products to be included: nuts, seeds, cereals, pasta, fruit and vegetables.

Products to be avoided – meat and milk.

People with this blood type should do yoga, pilates and even play golf.

AB Type

This blood type was first discovered in the 15,000 – 10,000 BC. Only one out of 10 people had this blood type. It is a mixture of A and B blood types, so these people can use a combination of products from the A and B diets . They can eat most of the foods, so it is easier for them than for others to lose weight.

Recommended products
– meat, dairy, fruits and vegetables.

Products to avoid – the food, subjected processed nuts, seeds, foods rich in carbohydrates.

The best exercise for people with a AB Blood Type is the combined work of the brain and the body, such as playing in a team.

Type O

This is the most rare and the newest blood type that was discovered about 1500 years ago. This means that people with this blood type can include the latest products in their diet. This blood type has a combination of the peculiarities of type B and type AB. People with this blood type can eat food from both blood types (B, AB) diet. People with AB type can consume most of the products, while people with the B type should follow a vegetarian diet, so people with type O should maintain a vegetarian diet or almost lead a vegetarian lifestyle. They can sometimes eat meat and dairy products.

Products to include:
seafood, grains, soybeans

Products that can be used occasionally: milk

Products to be avoided
: meat

People with a Type O may engage in a soothing yoga or Pilates, as well as – a more intense exercises such as jogging.

Benefits of the Diet

This diet is often criticized because the facts on which it is based, are questionable. Nevertheless, studies show that “appropriate” exercises and the use of “correct” products leads to vitality raise.

Disadvantages

If you do not know your blood type, you will need to consult a doctor. Diet for people with Type A is very unhealthy and should last for a maximum of two weeks, while the diet for the other types can make a person slimmer, healthier and more attractive.

Hi.. the blood diet / food items mentioned in this website is all mixed up. Please see Dr. Peter D’Adamo website and it has the right food chart as per blood type.. For eg: Tyep O------- Type O is more vulnerable to destructive behaviors when overly tired, depressed or bored. These can include gambling, sensation seeking, risk taking, substance abuse and impulsivity. To avoid becoming overstressed, Dr. D’Adamo recommends following the Type O diet, which focuses on lean, organic meats, vegetables and fruits and avoid wheat and dairy which can be triggers for digestive and health issues in Type O. Additionally, he suggests that Type O’s avoid caffeine and alcohol. Caffeine can be particularly harmful because of its tendency to raise adrenaline and noradrenaline, which are already high for Type O’s.
