It’s Wedding Season: What to Wear to a Wedding to Feel Comfortable but Stylish

By Stacey Malone

Spring has sprung and wedding bells are ringing. The biggest question is not what should I get the bride and groom? Or I wonder who we will be sitting with? The big question is what am I going to wear? Here are some tips to keep in mind when putting together a wedding ensemble

Weather: If it is an outdoor Spring wedding it may be cool and rainy, so bring a scarf or button up sweater. If its outdoors, be prepared for everything!! Rain, sun, wind, sweating the list can go on so be prepared mentally and physically.

Shoes: ALWAYS bring 2 pairs one that completes the outfit and another for some serious dancing. Beauty is pain so we need to suck it up and wear the 4 inch pumps for the cocktail hour, but change it up later in the night.

Stockings: My mother is a true believer in stockings no matter what. I say if you want to wear a nude sheer stocking then go for it. If you do not want to wear a stocking make sure you lather on cream with some sparkles to make the leg pretty!

Hair: Refer to weather!

The Dress: One thing is for sure, NO WHITE DRESSES, unless requested by the bride and groom. The only white dress should be on the bride. Cocktail dresses and even a long belted bohemian dress is a great look for a Spring/Summer wedding. A classic LBD (Little Black Dress) is ideal and always looks classy with some colored pumps.
