Easter traditionally marks the annual celebratory feast of Christ’s resurrection and is theologically linked to the Jewish holiday Passover.  Conversely, to the fashion conscience it is also another validation to dress up chic.

For this year’s Easter, one can shed the drably winter fad of black and grey in favor of more bright and rich hues. Choose colors that match your skin tone, hair color and personality. Spring colors include pinks, blues, purples and yellows, although it is acceptable to opt for pastel. In addition to a good palette, it is important to choose the right cut. Avoid bunched and rigid clothing and favor more long flowing skirts and dresses. Attire such as an empire silhouettes , angel sleeves and shawls helps compliment any type of figure. For the cocktail reveler, opt for metallic flat sandals or stylish ankle wraps, gladiator- style.
