5 Ways to Wear Color White
By Stacey Malone

There are so many questions and faux pas surrounding the color “white”. With the official start of summer around the corner many wonder if it’s truly ok to wear white before and even after Memorial Day. The color causes confusion for us ladies who enjoy the crisp and clean color white. Many shy away from purchasing anything white! Here are some ideas for picking up some white hot style tips.

1. To clear the air. The basic rule of white is no white shoes before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. This my mother instilled in me and I cringe when I see someone breaking this rule. As for clothes white is an option any time of year, think of a winter white pea coat or a cream dress in the fall. So if you are dying to wear a white eyelet skirt before Memorial Day, the answer is: Yes go ahead! Just don’t pair with white sandals as my personal opinion.
2. White manicures and pedicures are very popular and refreshing to see on fingers and toes. Instead of a pastel pink try a bright white on your hands and feet.

3. Last year I purchased a white bikini. I was hesitant at first but let me tell you it is now one of my favorite suites. The white material against my skin makes me appear extra tan. Just make sure that the material is thick, we don’t want to sport a wet see through white bikini…Yikes!!
4. White barrettes and bobby pins are classy and a great way to pin back bangs or create an up do for a hot summer date night. Sometimes seeing the clips bother people but make the barrettes stand out in a bright white way.
5. In a previous article of mine I expressed a love for pearls. So again, white pearls are a wonderful look for work and play. White pearls are great for a year round style.
