A model turned to be an actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was called terrible and awful by the critics after they reviewed the movie she played in Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
The movie cost $195million but got horrible reviews. One critic said:
“I would prefer to undergo a form of torture than have to watch the third film in the Michael Bay directed franchise again.”
Despite the fact that Huntington-Whiteley has done some really bad acting, there was no chemistry between her and Shia LaBeouf. Well, Shia said he had sex with his previous co-star, of course there is going to be chemistry. I bet he didn’t dare doing the same with Rosie in fear of her boyfriend Jason Statham.
One of the critics who reviewed the movie said:
‘Given the choice between sitting through 154 minutes of Transformers: Dark of the Moon and being waterboarded, I plead: Waterboard me! ‘Is this Transformers better than the first two? That’s like saying cyanide is better than arsenic because it’ll kill you faster.’
The other critic of the New York Times not only commented on Rosie’s horrible acting he also said:
‘I can’t decide if this movie is so spectacularly, breathtakingly dumb as to induce stupidity in anyone who watches, or so brutally brilliant that it disarms all reason. What’s the difference?’
Another critic said about Whitley’s performance:
Huntington-Whiteley shows up in a figure-hugging, tighty-whitey dress but she’s all window dressing and doesn’t exactly excel at delivering her banal lines. Poor Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
‘She may be beautiful but she can’t act for toffee.’
The Empire magazine said:
Bay introduces her with a self-parodying shot of her barely-clad bottom and it’s all downhill from there. You’ll believe a robot can fly, but you won’t believe a Huntington-Whiteley can talk.’
‘Huntington-Whiteley is so terrible, in fact, she makes her co-stars bad too.
Well, some people are just not meant to act. But, despite these crazy bad reviews I am sure this is not her last movie, unfortunately…
You want blonde beauty that I think she’s a good actor? Emma Roberts. For God’s sake, there are thousands more actress that are blonde and true actresses and Bay landed on this blonde psycho? Get real… Worst Actress, I think.
Well, she is very beautiful and if I woke up looking like that I wouldn’t be sad. Still……I think Rosie was relying more on her looks to see her through the movie instead of acting. Look at Natalie Portman who is beautiful in my opinion and can actually act. Same with Kiera Knightly and many others such as Angelina Jolie. Rosie look like she was posing for the camera in each shot. I think she forget it was a movie and not a photoshoot. Considering the movie role she had wasn’t much of a challenge, she have been able to perform better than she did. More was required than pouting her lips, looking pretty and wearing skin tight outfits – as attractive as that is – she really needed to pull something more out of herself. I just found myself getting irritated with her.
