Tamahori, 55, who directed Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry in Die Another Day, was arrested as part of a Hollywood gay prostitution crackdown.

The filmmaker was accused of getting in an undercover officer’s car on Santa Monica Boulevard and offering to perform a sex act for money.

Police say the director – the son of a British mother and a Maori father – was wearing an off-the-shoulder dress, long black wig, full makeup and women’s accessories.

He was offered a plea deal in which he escaped having to answer to the more serious charges against him that could have seen him serve up to six months in prison. here dress long black

The Hollywood director pleaded no contest to criminal trespass – for getting into the officer’s car – in exchange for which the more serious prostitution charges were dropped.

Tamahori, whose other hits include XXX: State Of The Union with Samuel L Jackson and Wi l lem Dafoe, was not present for the Los Angeles court hearing.

He was also placed on three years probation and ordered to attend an Aids education course.
