Miss Goddard was diagnosed with breast cancer in March. After having surgery,she was told the disease has not spreadbut she must still have chemotherapy as a precaution, with the possibility oflosing her hair.

The mother of two told Hello! magazine that if it happens, she does not want to’look like a victim’. She will wear a cold cap during treatment, freezing thehair follicles and hopefully protecting them. But because the technique worksbetter with short hair, she decided on the crop. Then her husband PeterGianfrancesco told her: ‘Why don’t you go the whole hog and have it bleached?’Miss Goddard said: ‘I thought, “Yes!”.
